Release of new website
This is it! I'm excited to announce the launch of my new website! Over the years, I relied on a simple WordPress
website for my project portfolio, as it was convenient and sufficient while working as a 9-5 software engineer and data scientist. With no urgent need for a personal online presence and limited web development skills, it served its purpose.
However, things changed in the past years as I founded my own companies, expanded my portfolio and dived deeper into frontend and web development. This change in direction allowed me to code my own website from scratch. As a Python
developer, I naturally turned to Django
for the task, and I must say, Django
proved to be an incredibly powerful library.
Since I am planning to make future apps and APIs accessable through my website I also integrated Django
, Javascript
, React
, Webpack
, and REST
Framework. The integration of Javascript
into my Django
backend posed a notable challenge and caused me a lot of headache, but when I started to build my first application I quickly realized that JS will pay off as a programming language for dynamic frontend development.
What is new?
In addition to the new Django
based backend and the integration of Javascript
, I redesigned the frontend of the website and decided to use the color purple as one of my new primary branding codes. Furthermore, the new website features a couple of new functionalities and pages. First of all, I implemented a release notes page, where I publish the release of new products, special offers or updates about new features.
With the release of my new website the product portfolio was also extended as I added an entire new product category, which is full-stack development. Since I founded my own company I expanded my skill set, dived deeper into front-end development and learned the Javascript
programming language, which allowed me to offer new solutions such as web applications, desktop software and mobile applications.
Another new feature is a sign up page for my newsletter, which complements the release notes page and allows customers to stay informed about new releases, updates or new features. More importantly, the newsletter provides a weekly briefing about the world of software, AI or data science in general.
